Building
- The civic house Van Noten belongs to the early work of Ferdinand Hompus, who was active as an independent architect from 1875 until the early 1910s. Following in the footsteps of his father Joseph Antoine Hompus, he deployed productive careers in the service of the bourgeoisie. Comparable examples of his neo-traditional or neo-Flemish Renaissance architecture around 1880 are the store houses butcher's shop Raes-Daems in Steenhouwersvest and "In t zicht der Schelde" in Scheldestraat. In addition to conventional neoclassical row houses, the architect realized numerous bourgeois and mansions especially in the 1880s and 1890s in a recognizable, classically inspired eclectic style. Business premises such as BreweryDe Leeuw in Coebergerstraat, are also part ofhis oeuvre.
 - Built in 1884
